Artist and Fashion Designer driven by an ongoing quest for discovery, exploring the reconstruction of classical forms through playful reinvention.
Adopting a multidisciplinary approach, I develop a variety of projects simultaneously or in phases, depending on their nature. My oil paintings often center on self-portraits and the human figure within different spaces—pieces that explore identity and the ongoing search for oneself. In contrast, my fashion costumes blend theatricality, baroque elements, and minstrel-inspired aesthetics, creating expressive and conceptual garments. My sculptural work are the result of pure experimentation, involving the redefinition of feminine forms and material interactions.
Craftsmanship and nature are central to my practice, providing both inspiration and grounding. They represent a constant dialogue in my creative process, where tradition and innovation coexist.
STATEMENT
The colors of my palette have accompanied me since my childhood. Surely being born into a family of artists has conditioned my life, or perhaps it has been a source of vital inspiration. I learned to walk on paint stains in my uncle Hugo’s studio and involved in the plays of my grandmother Irina, stage director.
I have a restless vision, an artist’s eye that does not stop and that constantly analyzes the colors, the shapes, the spaces I walk through, the sounds, the textures or my dreams. Through this eye I see the connection, the ties that exist between nature, life and the fantastic.
I feel an inclination towards the theatrical side of fashion, deconstructing classical forms and reinventing them through playful experimentation. This is where i make my characters and fashion sketches come to life through garments with fantasy contexts.
I contemplate with admiration and curiosity, and it is perhaps through my creations that I´ve found the most genuine medium to explore, develop and express myself.
