This collection is born from a personal vision, from my relationship with nature. Contemplation of the beauty of the natural world awakens in me a fascination with the possibilities of the Fungi kingdom.
The diversity of the shapes and colors of these beings gives me infinite possibilities to play with from design. This project shows an interpretation of different mushrooms in costumes. My inspiration comes from underground fungal roots and their work as communication networks with forests, but this documentary unearthed this idea of creating a tribute to this forgotten kingdom.
From the connection I contemplate the information networks of the roots of the mushrooms, like neurons in the human brain, the mycelium. That’s where the name of my work comes from.
